Ethereal EGP8 8 Outlet Green Power Surge Protector (White) Review
This is a cool surge protector and it works great except for a few caveats.Pros: Cool design
Some always on plugs
Best pro - can use any IR remote to turn surge protector on
Turns off after 3 minutes if current level below certain level
Cons: No way to turn completley off - have to unplug
Surge protection light is a bit annoying - very bright red (minor issue)
Outlets too close - can't use with the larger plugins without giving up a plug or two
Also the larger plugins may cause protector to not lay flat
May shut off even when certain equipment pluggged in; I have a Bose Lifestyle that shuts down when I have it only on. If the TV is also on, no problem. My work around was to plug the Bose into always on plug.
Only available in white (though did find it in black from another company).
Overall, I do like the protector. I have been able to work around the cons.
