This thing does work, but I would not describe it as high quality.The drivers are extremely crappy. I couldn't even get the Mac version to work at all. The drivers worked OK for windows 7.
I connected this to an external antenna, and it was able to access the net through it. The antenna that it comes with isn't very good.
After I unscrewed the antenna a few times, the antenna connector came loose. It slid around in its plastic housing, and it almost disappeared inside the card itself. This doesn't seem to effect the functionality, but its definitely annoying.
Most of the documentation that comes with this seems like it was written by some Asian guy with only a very limited grasp of English.
It gets the job done, but don't expect too much.
