This antenna is useful for improving coverage in a 120 degree angle from from the active side. While the gain is only equal or 1-3 dBi improvement over a typical rubber ducky omni that comes with many devices, the improved signal to noise ratio can result in much better connections in congested locations.. which these days is just about anywhere.
The construction is well made for a consumer device but I did find that it rotates too easily.. I used a piece of tape to lock it in position. .. not a big issue
