This unit works good, and I did find many open wifi spots when I travel. I can not tell the difference between the 500mw and the 2000mw. (it does not matter how much transmission power you have if the other side is transmitting at a low power).
This device works but save your money and buy the 500mw or the 1000mw unless you need an "N" connection.
