Ever since I started getting more and more devices with HDMI output, I had started looking for one of these since my TV is still stuck with the one input. If you've been looking on Amazon, you know there's a few trusted brands that sell for a lot more than this one, and a whole bunch of unknowns for cheaper. I decided to take a gamble on one of the cheaper ones that didn't have any reviews, because hey, why not?
As a result, I got this little deal to hook up my gaming consoles, and while there's nothing really amazing to share about this HDMI selector, there are also no complaints. It works as it should with the supplied plugin, and while I haven't really tried it without power, I have noticed that the device still lights up even when it's not plugged in. There's an included remote that I haven't bothered to touch, either, because the auto-select works just fine on power. The lights aren't too bright or distracting, and there's no drops in quality (nor should there be, really, but I digress).
All and all, a product worth the price, and not as big of a gamble as the no-names.
As a side note, if you still want more reviews of this Planex, there are some on a Japanese website (can't remember which one, I know I found it through Google and used them to translate), and it wasn't doing too bad there, either.
