I had my first WRT54GS for nearly 6 years before a lightning surge took it out. I had also flashed the firmware to DDWRT and boosted its wireless output 3x to 70w and added high-gain anttennea. This is a great performer and I replaced my burnt router with this same make and model. I love it, and since I have mostly "G" equipment I didn't feel the need to move to "N" standards.
