I purchased this item on June 4th from DBROTH. see my feedback below
Satisfaction with purchase : 0 star

SATISFACTION WITH PURCHASE:
I tried a Huawei E1550 and then a Huawei E156G usb dongle on the router but the router did not recognize them. Note that both these usb dongles are on the compatibility list. I also tried some other dongles not on the list, but the result was the same.
After several mails, I was informed by both ALFA sales (the manufacturer in Taiwan) and DBROTH representative that the item has been discontinued. ALFA specifically said it was discontinued because of the issues they were having with the device.
summary: this device does not work as advertised
DBROTH CUSTOMER FOCUS:
I am giving 2 star here because response from DBROTH was delayed, I got better and faster response from the manufacturers in taiwan.
DBROTH RESOLUTION OF PROBLEM: 0 star
DBROTH wrote to me and said they will offer me an RMA for a refund because the item has been discontinued. This was not useful to me because I reside outside the US and shipping a defective item back to the US was not an option. As it stands, I am still stuck with a non-functional item
AMAZON CUSTOMER FOCUS: Excellent
I spoke with amazon's customer representative and they were very helpful. As a compensation i got a promotional credit of $15.
GENERAL HONESTY/TRANSPARENCY: 0 star
The amazon rep i communicated with said he would ask DBROTH to remove the item since it was confirmed to be discontinued. This was done. However I am worried to see that DBROTH has relisted these routers for sale - 5 in stock.
This is totally wrong and DBROTH should stop selling non-functional items to unsuspecting shoppers. I believe amazon has a duty to protect its customers from these kind of things.
Please do not buy this product!
