This USB dongle Wi-Fi works great. The sensitivity is at least 10 dB better than normal USB dongle with internal antenna. The good part is that you can attach a directional hi-gain antenna to the RF connector for even longer reach. There is also a mode in the driver software to do SoftAP which means if you are connected to the Internet from a wireline with RJ45 Ethernet 100BT or via 3G cellular data, then this can act as an Access Point to redistribute the signal to other Wi-Fi devices. I use this mode when I connect my notebook PC in tethered mode to my 3G phone and then put this Wi-Fi USB dongle in SoftAP mode and I've just created a Wi-Fi hotspot for others to use the Internet thru my 3G data service.
